Womens Heel Pain
The fatty pads underneath your heels are designed as cushions and shock absorbers for your feet. When they become overused by repetitive stress of the pounding of your heels on hard surfaces, these fat pads can become worn, thin and shrink, causing pain. But there can be other causes of heel pain, such as achilles tendonitis where you could also have pain in the ankle and calf. There is also the very common plantarfasciitis, where the most common symptom is relief when resting, and intense pain when you start moving again. Heel pain can be alleviated by wearing very cushion soled shoes to replace the fat pads so every step is soft and rolling.
