Mortons Neuroma
Morton's neuroma is a very painful condition where the interdigital nerve (between the toes) becomes thickened, forming scar tissue. Symptoms are a burning, stabbing feeling, often only relieved by removing footwear and socks and massaging the foot! After a professional diagnosis, the best treatment is to always wear wider, properly fitted footwear to not pinch the nerve and to also use a good insert with metatarsal support. Rocker/rolling sole footwear will also help, as a less flexible shoe is required to give the forefoot more support and cushioning.
